Pineapple Chicken (Pininyahang Manok)

Pininyahang manok is made of sweet pineapple flavor, with coconut milk or evaporated milk -producing it very tasty...Check out my version of how to cook it in a very simple way. Enjoy! :)


1 whole chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 can pineapple tidbits, set aside the syrup
1 Tbsp oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium-sized onions, chopped
1/2 cup evaporated milk or coconut milk
patis (fish sauce), to taste
bellpepper


DIRECTIONS:

-Marinade the chicken with the pineapple syrup for a few minutes.

-When done, set aside the chicken on one side of the pot.

-Add the oil on a heated pan/wok, saute garlic and onions then mix together with the marinated chicken and bellpepper...cook for about a minute.

-Add the pineapple chunks then pour the evaporated milk. Cover and bring to a simmer...
-By the time the chicken is done, the sauce would be rather thick and creamy, stir then season with patis.

-Simmer again for 2 minutes then turn-off the heat.
-that's it! :)

Ground Pork (Giniling na Baboy)

Ground Porks main ingredient is pork and it is sauteed together with vegetables in tomato sauce...













Ingredients:
-cooking oil
-half kilo ground pork
-potatoes cut into cubes
-carrots cut into cubes
-minced garlic
-sliced onion
-red and green bellpepper cut into cubes
-fish sauce
-soy sauce
-half cup tomato sauce
-raisins
-salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:
-Add onion and ginger to a pan and stir. Also add pork and wait until it starts to get brown
-Add the potatoes,carrots and bellpepper.. Wait aprx. 15 minutes until vegetables are cooked
-Add half cup of water...
-Add the raisins...3tablespoons of fish sauce and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce...let it boil for 5 minutes
-Add salt and pepper for taste
-Serve it together with rice  :)

Adobong Pusit

Ingredients:

half kilo of fresh squids
vinegar
garlic
salt and pepper to taste
onion-sliced
medium-sized tomatoes, chopped
monosodium glutamate(vetsin)

DIRECTIONS:

-Wash the squids very well. Remove the long thin membrane in the head and slit the eyes to bring out the ink. Cut squids into 1/2 inch slices crosswise.Place the squids in a saucepan with vinegar, 6 cloves garlic crushed, salt and pepper. Cover and cook slowly until the squids are tender

   
-Crush remaining garlic and saute in a little oil in another pan. Add the onion and tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are very soft. Add the squids and the liquid in which they were boiled. Simmer for 7 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and vetsin.
